Board Self-Nominations

Beginning with this election cycle, SoACE has moved to a self-nomination process for Board positions. Current SoACE members who are interested in serving on the Board should submit an application on their own behalf for the position they wish to pursue.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to have significant volunteer or committee experience within SoACE or a comparable association, although this experience is not required. Applicants must be current SoACE members.

Before You Begin

The self-nomination application asks candidates to provide information about their interest, qualifications, professional experience, and involvement with SoACE and other professional organizations.

Please be prepared to provide:
  • Your contact information
  • The Board position for which you are applying
  • Years of SoACE membership
  • Responses to application questions about your interest, qualifications and experience
  • A personal headshot
  • A current resume
  • A letter of supervisory support (required)
Important: Your self-nomination is not considered complete until your letter of supervisory support has been uploaded. Because Board service requires a significant time commitment, including meetings, preparation and potential travel during business hours, this letter should confirm that your supervisor/employer is aware of the commitment and will provide the flexibility needed to serve.

You may review all application questions and requirements before beginning:
